... At the LifeSite Board Meeting
Perhaps it was Our Lady, but at any rate the Minutes to The Board Meeting that outed John Henry Westen were leaked to to the JooToob Channel “Eternal Life Plan”. Those interested can hear all the gory details at: Leaked INFO on why the Board was Right Firing John Henry Westen. Some have excoriated the poor girl (a former LifeSite Employee, apparently disgruntled) for publishing this. Now, if this involved what John and Sue did in the middle stall, this Wolf would agree. But the content was public knowledge within the halls of LifeSite, and is now being shared with the rest of the world.
Of course, this could all be an Artificial Intelligence Dumpster Fire, and this Wolf would not rule out that possibility, especially since not even the ghosts of this exist anywhere on Social media. That might be testimony to this being AI. Or it might be testimony to the fact that the vast majority of Sheeple value their careers and posting Inside Baseball about the The Agency will have them sent to the Spice Mines of Kessel or smashed into Who-Knows-What.
What this Wolf is concerned about is the lessons we should all be able to take away from this. Firstly, summarizing, John Henry Weston was guilty of patronizing, playing fast and loose with real estate laws, hiring illegal immigrants, and, the real problem, steering LifeSite News in a direction unpalatable to the vast majority of Bogus Ordo employees, who tired of the constant criticism of Pope Frantic and catering to “Sedevacantists”. According to Bishop Strickland, who threatened to cleave with LifeSite if John Henry was not dismissed, Mr Weston was guilty of misrepresenting the facts and rebuffing his employees.
Lesson #1. Do not try and Serve Two Masters.
Years ago this Wolf could see that he and the SSPX were going in different direction- or, more accurately, the SSPX was veering off the course set by Archbishop Lefebvre. After having some Down-To-The-Brass-Tacks with several of his priests friends, this Wolf could see that he was surrounded by cowards who were unwilling to buck the Party Line. So, he gave a lot of friends and good memories the heave ho (to say nothing about the overall financial situation) because, as the Psalmist says: “For better is one day in Thy courts above thousands. I have chosen to be an abject in the house of my God, rather than to dwell in the tabernacles of sinners.” When John Henry saw that he was surrounded by lukewarm Bogus Ordo-ites who cringed at criticism of Pope Frantic and just wanted LifeSite to be a political platform, he should have resigned. He probably hung on hoping against hope that at least some of the employees would come around.
Lesson #2: The Trad Inc Model does not work.
People cannot make a living in an Apostleship- at least not a comfortable Suburban One. This Wolf used to cringe at the slick look of the Angelus Magazine, which was often long on graphics but short on actual content. Now Fr Wickens “New Jersey Catholic News” was the real deal- two pages of Legal paper folded and full of simple typeset and cut and paste, rolled off a mimeograph machine, and mailed by a shoestring operation. His mission- show readers the ongoing horror show that was the Vatican II Reformed Church. Nobody was making a living doing that; they all had day jobs.
Lesson #3: Be careful which TweetStorm you stick your toe in.
When the dust settles, Hiraeth In Exile is really going to have a time walking back this one: “Blocked emails, a Pachamama Mass, and a boardroom full of Sith: LifeSite’s founding Jedi won’t go down without a fight.” The same goes for A Catholic Take, The RunDown, and Dr Deep State. Now don’t get this Wolf wrong, he appreciates all these sites and does not want to be a part of Michael Matt’s Circular Firing Squad. But a lack of prudence and discernment is on full display here. (Apparently, Return to Tradition got a whiff of the Hot Steaming Mess, and decided to stop discussing the matter, to its credit.)
We Rad Trad Tinfoil Hat Nutjobs know that the deck is stacked against us, and we tend to circle the proverbial wagons right quick. We must have confidence in Our Lady of Fatima. If she can make the sin dance not too much is beyond her ken. And that is why this Wolf will stay over the target, and not be distracted by Social Media Dumpster fires.
In the Holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary.
In Strickland's home videos, he logged in next to a blasphemous statue of the Holy Family, in which St. Joseph sits in a Turkish position, with the Virgin Mary in his lap with baby Jesus. I have never seen such a disgusting statue that would deny both the virginity of the Virgin Mary and the divine sonship of Jesus. I have learned from this that Strickland feels and understands nothing from the Virgin Mary and Her Holy Son.
All the problems with LSN came from trying to pretend that we all belong to the same warm sheepfold with the false anti-church.
Strickland recently preached about Sodom and the sin of pride. But isn't it the sin of pride to pretend to be priests and bishops and not even ordain themselves in the valid rite? Vigano's priestly ordination was still valid, but as bishop Wojtyla already consecrated him in the new rite, so he re-consecrated himself by Williamson.
